What is recorded here

The site (Wth 1.81m; D 0.3m) is orientated NE-SW and consists of an arrangement of light brushwood and twigs in opposing drain faces. The brushwood is up to nine pieces deep and tends to lie longitudinally. Metal-cut toolmarks are noted on a number of pieces. Of the wood species identified, willow is dominant, followed by alder and a single example of Pomoideae. The site is located in well-humified Sphagnum and Calluna peat.
