Road

The site (Wth 2.39m; D 0.31m) consists of a dispersed collection of mixed brushwood with occasional twigs in the drain face. Two pieces of brushwood are also noted in the opposing drain face. The brushwood is 3-4 pieces deep and is laid irregularly. Towards the E end of the distribution, the brushwood appears to be slightly more compact than at the W end where it tapers to the depth of one piece. Metal-cut worked ends are evident throughout the site. Wood species include willow, alder and ash. The site is located in well-humified Sphagnum peat.
