Situated on a slight rise on the S bank of the W-R River Nanny, with a W-E section of the stream c. 55m to the N. A circular area (diam. c. 10m) defined by a single fosse feature is visible on the aerial OSI series of aerial images (1995). It was first noted by Colin Byrne.
