What is recorded here

Rhobell-y-big rises to approximately 550 metres and is part of the rugged terrain of the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountain range in north Wales. Its name, meaning "the big red hill," may derive from the reddish hue of its soil or rock, possibly due to iron-rich geology. It matters as a local landmark within the culturally and geologically significant landscape of Gwynedd.
