What is recorded here
In gently undulating pastureland; formerly demesne land. Marked on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a triangular tree clump and as a roughly oval pit (c. 31m N-S; c. 16m E-W) on the 1932 edition. The trees have been cleared and apart from a hollow cut at N by a field boundary, no visible surface trace survives. Possibly a landscape feature associated with the demesne.
