J.B. Malone Memorial

J.B. Malone transformed private hill knowledge into a public gift when he forced the Wicklow Way into existence. He walked those mountains during military leave, memorised hidden paths, and later bargained with landowners until the route became real. The memorial stands because he refused to keep beautiful things private.
