Detached two-bay two-storey house, built c. 1850. Pitched slate roof, red brick corbelled chimneystacks with cut stone caps, moulded cast-iron gutters on scalloped painted timber fascia, square cast-iron downpipes. Lime-washed walling, painted quoins and plinth. Square-headed window openings, painted moulded render kneed and lugged surrounds, painted stone sills, painted timber one-over-one sliding sash windows. Square-headed door opening, moulded render pedimented lugged surround with finial, painted timber four-panel door. Located at end of cul-de-sac, garden to east with single-storey outbuildings, lime-washed rubble stone wall, gates. Quonset hut to west.

This detached house is full of interest. Possibly originally a one-storey dwelling, the enlarged house may have been the residence of the clerk of the local mill. The attractive naivety of the rendered details contribute greatly to its interest. It plays a valuable role in the legacy of this unusual clachan village. The quonset hut was bought after World War Two following the departure of American Troops from Northern Ireland.
