End-of-terrace three-bay two-storey house, c.1870, on a corner site with two-bay two-storey lower return to north. Reroofed, c.1970. Refenestrated, c.1995. Pitched roofs with replacement artificial slate, c.1970, clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, and replacement uPVC rainwater goods, c.1995, on rendered eaves. Painted rendered wall to ground floor, to side (west) elevation, and to return with rendered quoins. Painted roughcast wall to first floor. Square-headed window openings with stone sills. Replacement uPVC casement windows, c.1995. Square-headed door opening with rendered entablature over on consoles, and replacement glazed uPVC panelled door, c.1995. Road fronted on a corner site with concrete footpath to front.

This house is an attractive building of balanced proportions and almost-symmetrical design, which retains its original form. The replacement fittings, however, do not improve the appearance of the house. The house remains an important component of the streetscape, terminating the vista from Barrack Street to the south while forming an anchor corner site linking Shortcourse with Trinity Square.
