Gateway, c.1920, comprising pair of limestone ashlar piers with cut-stone capping, cast-iron double gates, unpainted roughcast flanking boundary walls incorporating square-headed pedestrian gateway to north-west with cut-stone surround having keystone, and timber panelled door. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Suirville.
An appealing gateway incorporating fine quality ashlar stone work, and decorative cast-iron gates of artistic design distinction. The gateway forms an elegant feature in the streetscape of Newtown Road.
