House, 17th/18th century

What is recorded here

No.31 Aungier Street is an end of terrace two-bay three-storey rendered former townhouse, with a full-height closet return and a modern shopfront at ground level. The closet return and traditional fenestration pattern to the rear façade suggest early origins. It is the only surviving house of a row of gabled houses, the remainder of which were demolished in the 1970s, and retains a substantial amount of original internal joinery. The third floor and roof were removed c.1970.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
