In 1956, workers uncovered a buried cluster of skeletons north of Mobhi Lane and east of the Church of Ireland, Glasnevin. The dead lay at crooked angles rather than in neat rows, accompanied by animal bones and a single iron knife. That mixture suggests a hurried or forgotten moment when human and beast were set together in the same dark earth.

In 1956 a number of skeletons were discovered N of Mobhi Lane and E of the Church of Ireland, Glasnevin. These were not oriented in the same direction, one was N-S and another was NW-SE.
