What is recorded here
Redmund McMoyler McRic held a castle in Bealclarhome in 1574, yet no marker or ruin confirms the claim today. The name resists certainty, and the absence becomes the shape of the story. A castle may have stood where a field, road or memory now passes, but the evidence has not survived to be judged.
Nolan (1901, 118) notes that a castle in 'Bealclarhome' (possibly Belclare) was in the possession of 'Redmund McMoyler McRic' in 1574. Not located.
