On a SW-facing slope in grassland. Poorly preserved circular rath (D 43.7m) defined by a bank and external fosse; the latter is best preserved from NE through E to SE. Cloonmore Fort is a circular early-medieval ringfort, likely dating to between the 5th and 10th centuries AD, characterized by a bank and external ditch. Local tradition associates such sites with fairy lore, and the name "Cloonmore" may reflect a historical or legendary connection to the Otherworld in Irish folklore.
