Structure

Two roundwoods and a piece of heavy brushwood in opposing drain faces (Wth 1.82m; D 0.18m). The elements are widely spaced over a distance of nearly 2m along the drain with no discernible structure. The site is situated in well-humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
