Structure

Four pieces of light brushwood and a single roundwood, widely spaced along opposing drain faces (Wth 2.98m; D 0.18m). There is no discernible structure. Woodworking is evidenced by a metal-cut chisel point. The site is situated in well-humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
