Indicated was a fairy fort on a Monaghan drumlin, a thirty-five-metre ring of earth and memory that vanished before 1995. It stood at the ridge's summit where the land itself seemed to breathe, its scarp and drain marking a boundary between the ordinary farm and the hidden world. The loss is not tragedy but transformation; the fort merely stopped being visible. What was built by human hands or fairy cunning still turns the soil, waiting for someone to stop measuring and start listening.

Situated at the summit and towards the S end of a N-S drumlin ridge. This was described in 1967 as a circular overgrown area (diam. c. 35m) defined by a scarp (at E: Wth 0.6m; H 1m), with a small outer drain at E and farm buildings just to the S. It was removed before 1995 (OSAP). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
