What is recorded here
RATH in Trummery, County Antrim, is a rath, an ancient earthen enclosure whose boundary still marks the ground. The official record preserves the name and kind, but the shape of daily life inside has faded. Perhaps people moved through that ring at dawn, tended fields, argued, loved and buried their dead before memory collapsed into silence. The earth kept the outline while human voice left it.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
