End-of-terrace three-bay two-storey coastguard house with dormer attic, c.1850, with two-bay two-storey side elevation to north having single-bay single-storey canted bay windows to ground floor, and single-bay two-storey flat-roofed lower return to west. Renovated, c.1950, with single-bay single-storey gabled projecting glazed porch added to centre. Extensively renovated, c.2000, with dormer attic added. Now in private residential use. One of a terrace of five. Pitched (shared) slate roof (hipped (shared) roof over canted bay windows to side (north) elevation with polygonal sections to corners) with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, replacement square rooflights, c.2000, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Flat felt roof to return with timber eaves. Pitched (gable-fronted) glazed roof to porch in timber frame. Unpainted rendered, ruled and lined walls with rendered piers to corners. Square-headed window openings with stone sills. Replacement 1/1 timber sash windows, c.2000, to front (east) and to side (north) elevations with replacement uPVC casement windows, c.2000, to remainder. Square-headed openings to porch with glazed timber panelled door, and fixed-pane timber lights on timber panels. Elliptical-headed door opening to house with rendered surround having keystone, timber pilaster doorcase, timber panelled door, and overlight. Set back from road perpendicular to road with shared gravel forecourt, random rubble stone boundary wall to perimeter of site having lime mortar, stone cobbled coping, and pair of painted rendered piers with hoop iron double gates.

A well-proportioned house, built as one of a terrace of five identical houses (with 22816002 – 5/WD-26-16-02 – 05), which is of particular significance for its original intended use as a coastguard house, reflecting the importance of maritime activities in the history of Tramore. Well maintained, the house presents an early aspect with many of the replacement fittings and materials installed in keeping with the historic integrity of the composition. The house, together with the remainder of the terrace, forms an attractive feature of formal appearance in the townscape.
