Tobermaclugg, or Tobar na gClog, is a natural spring hidden in a hollow beside a tree in County Dublin, dedicated to St. John. Steps still lead down to the water, though no one climbs them for prayer anymore. The well has gone quiet, its rituals forgotten, leaving only the damp earth and the shadow of the tree to mark where devotion once gathered.

Tobermaclugg, dedicated to St. John, was once a site of veneration associated with the healing properties of its spring water. The name Tobar na gClog may suggest a tradition involving the removal of shoes or boots as part of a ritual at the well, a common practice at holy wells to symbolize purification or humility.
