Toberaroughta was a holy well of considerable repute in County Cork, Ireland. The Mallow railway station now occupies its site. People once travelled there to drink water believed capable of touching human flesh and marking it. That open chamber has closed beneath steel and stone, leaving only the memory of water that entered the body and changed it.

Named 'Toberaroughta' on 1842 and 1905 OS 6-inch maps; 'site of' on 1935 OS 6-inch map. Mallow railway station now occupies site. The OS Field Book of 1839 gives 'Tobar an Uchta' or 'Well of the Breast' (Bolster 1971, 88). According to Grove White (1905-25, vol. 3, 76), it once was 'a Holy Well of considerable repute'.
