Tinnycahil Earthen Ringfort is a circular earthwork about thirty metres across, set on the west shoulder of a ridge above the River Eske in County Donegal. Its steep outer bank still stands, though the inner slope has slipped and modern gaps break the circle. The nearby land is good for living, while farther fields dissolve into bog, suggesting the fort claimed the best ground available before the wet earth took the rest.

Internal diam. c. 30m. A circular space enclosed by an earthen bank overgrown in places and with several (probably modern) gaps in it. Externally the bank is quite steep but it has slipped a lot internally. It is situated on the W shoulder of a ridge on the S side of the valley of the River Eske. The land in the immediate vicinity is good but further away is wet and boggy. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
