Terraced three-bay three-storey house, extant 1840, on a rectangular plan with shopfront to ground floor; three-bay three-storey rear (east) elevation. Pitched slate roof with pair of hipped slate roofs (east), clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks having capping supporting terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves retaining cast-iron octagonal or ogee hopper and downpipe with cast-iron rainwater goods to rear (east) elevation on rendered slate flagged eaves. Roughcast wall to front (west) elevation; limewashed roughcast surface finish to rear (east) elevation. Timber shopfront to ground floor on a symmetrical plan centred on glazed timber panelled double doors having overlight. Square-headed window openings (upper floors) with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing six-over-six timber sash windows. Interior including (ground floor): shop with timber shelving below arcaded pelmet; and (upper floors): carved timber surrounds to door openings framing timber panelled doors with carved timber surrounds to window openings framing timber panelled shutters. Street fronted with concrete footpath to front.

A house representing an important component of the built heritage of Enniscorthy with the architectural value of the composition confirmed by such attributes as the compact plan form; the diminishing in scale of the openings on each floor producing a graduated visual impression; and the high pitched roof. Having been well maintained, the form and massing survive intact together with substantial quantities of the original fabric, both to the exterior and to the interior, including a Classically-composed shopfront of artistic interest making a pleasing visual statement in Templeshannon at street level.
