Robnet's Bawn still keeps the memory of a lost chamber, though the stones that formed it no longer stand. The place belonged to Diarmada and Grainne in story, a temporary shelter for lovers running from the world. Its disappearance is not emptiness but transformation, moving the chamber from stone into breath, memory and becoming.

Carrigan (1905, vol. 2, 197) records that, 'Part of Swiftsheath is called Bawn-Ribinaedh (Bán-Roibinéid), or Robnet's Bawn; there was here, formerly, a Leaba Dhiarmada a's Ghrainne, but it has been destroyed.
