This blue commemorative plaque records: The Criterion Theatre The building opposite (now Blue Town Kitchens) replaces an earlier structure that was rebuilt in brick in 1879. The Critetion was badly damaged in a raid by German Gotha bombers (WW1 aircraft) on 5th June 1917 Heritage Centre The ballaing is now home to the Blue Town Heritage Centre where you can discover more about the colourful history of the town Recorded plaque organisation: Blue Town's Heritage Trail.
