Structure

A deposit of 8-10 parallel and partially overlapping pieces of brushwood, almost all of which have been worked. The wood is in good condition. This material is situated within moderately humified Sphagnum peat. This site was discovered by Bord na Móna operatives during the construction of a new railway. It was photographed and recorded by them and the location of the site was marked. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
