What is recorded here

Milled brushwood lies scattered across the Offaly peatland, too small and broken to judge as a real structure. The land has chewed the place until little remains but wood dust and doubt. What was built there is gone, leaving behind a ghost so thin it may never have existed at all.

Two milled pieces of light brushwood on the field surface (D 0.03m). This material may be associated with SMR OF015-373---- and SMR OF015-374----. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
