Structure

An irregular, dispersed spread (L 1.5m; Wth 1.4m; D 0.08m) of five pieces of light hazel brushwood and part of a radially split timber on the field surface. The split timber is of hazel and has been cut to a wedge point. The material situated is in moderately humified Sphagnum and Eriophorum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
