What is recorded here
A single piece of brushwood (L 1.58m min.; diam. 0.054m) which has been damaged by machinery. The piece lies within an area of poorly humified Sphagnum peat containing some ericaceous root. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
