Structure

An irregular scatter (L 0.8m; Wth 0.6m; D 0.12m) of brushwood and twigs. A number of pieces occur in upright positions at angles ranging from 45-90° but it is not clear that these pieces functioned as pegs. Wood species include hazel. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
