Cloghfin is a one-metre quartz standing stone in Straid, County Donegal, recorded on old survey maps but displaced from its original nearby setting. Its archaeological meaning remains uncertain, yet the bright stone still marks the edge of human memory, perhaps moved by curiosity, ownership or forgetting. What is clear is that people once saw it as worth naming, measuring and preserving even when its first purpose faded.

Marked as 'Cloghfin' on the 2nd and 3rd editions of the OS 6-inch map. This quartz stone, c. 1m long, has been moved from its original position nearby. Its archae-ological significance is uncertain.
