What is recorded here
A willow stake (L 1.22m; diam. 0.055m) set at a 60° angle on the field surface. The stake has been cut to a chisel point and has evidence of branch-trimming. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
