What is recorded here
A piece of alder brushwood (L 0.88m min.; diam. 0.043m) on the field surface. The piece has been cut to a wedge point and lies in poorly humified Sphagnum and Eriophorum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
