Fairy forts are human places misnamed because people stopped remembering the hands that built them. In Straduff, a cashel-like ring of stone stands on a natural rise, its wall two metres thick and its eastern gap wide enough for one person to pass. The overgrowth has swallowed the interior, but the shape remains clear: a small defensible circle made visible on open ground. Forget the fairy label and the function returns. Someone wanted to be seen, protected and remembered there.

On top of a natural rise in undulating countryside. Circular area (diam 25m E-W) enclosed by stone wall (T 2m; ext. H 0.6m; int. H 0.3m) with external berm (Wth 5m; ext. H 1m) defined by a scarp with possible entrance gap (Wth 2.5m) at E. A lot of stone and natural bedrock protrudes from surface of interior. Dense overgrowth makes examination difficult.
