Standing stone in Foilatrisnig

This standing stone occupies a commanding position a little E of the crest of the ridge between Gleann na nGealt and Gleann Meáin, on land which, though formerly cultivated, has reverted to rough wet pasture. The sandstone slab stands 2.2m high, is .9m wide at base narrowing to .38m at top, and averages .23m in thickness; SSW-NNE. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
