Kenry By. is a quarried standing stone in County Limerick, Ireland. Two notches on its east face reveal plug-and-feather cutting, suggesting it became a cattle scratching post within the last century rather than emerging as a sacred marker.

Situated on a hillock in a pasture field in an area of low lying land the stone (0.38m wide x 0.20m thick and 2.13m high) is aligned N-S and leans slightly to the N. It is evident that this stone has been quarried using the plug and feather technique as two notches for such are visible on its E face. As such it seem likely that it was set up as a scratching post for cattle within the last century. (Curtin 2008) Compiled by: Paul Walsh Date of upload: 1 May 2015
