RATH in Spring Grove

RATH

What is recorded here

RATH in Spring Grove is an ancient enclosure in County Fermanagh, recorded from the early Christian period. Its boundary still marks the land, perhaps drawing people toward protection or identity when the region was young. The name resists explanation, but the shape suggests humans lived there, loved there and left behind a line the earth has not erased.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
