Grave Yd stands above the western shoreline of Schull Harbour, a rectangular stone-walled chamber holding chest tombs and family vaults from the late 18th century onward. The buried church ruins suggest worship once echoed beside the graves, while the living extension proves the yard still receives the dead. The sea may have taken bodies during storms, yet the wall holds what it can against forgetting.
