What is recorded here

Indicated is a possible ringfort in County Mayo, Ireland. It occupies a circular pasture area thirty-nine metres wide on a slight southeast-facing slope. A fence and road cut across its northeast edge, while the original bank has been levelled into the grass. The site appeared on an 1838 map as a circular enclosure, suggesting people shaped and used the land long before the road passed it.
