Site of Castle — Report the wrong picture

Brackagh Castle vanished before the first surveyors arrived, leaving only a dashed rectangle on the 1838 map and a low knoll in level pastureland. The site sits eighty metres from a disused burial ground, suggesting the dead watched the living long after the walls collapsed. No stone or trench remains for modern eyes, yet the shape endures in ink and memory. The castle may have been small, brutal or forgotten quickly, but the land still holds its outline.

Indicated on the 1st. ed. (1838) of the OS 6-inch map as 'Site of Castle' beside a dashed, subrectangular area (est. dims. L c. 30m NE-SW; Wth c. 10m).
