What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular pasture enclosure in County Cork, Ireland, containing two concentric banks and a narrow gap that once directed entry past a nearby ringfort. The easterly slope catches morning light on the surviving earthworks, suggesting the site still marks a lived boundary rather than a forgotten shape. People may have walked that gap to trade, worship or avoid danger, while the ringfort watched from twenty metres away.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Circular area (13.4m N-S; 12.6m E-W) enclosed by fosse (D 0.9m) with slight trace of inner bank (int. H 0.3m) remaining. Second bank (H 0.8m) concentric with and 5.8m from bank one; gap (Wth 2.5m) to NNE. Ringfort (CO126-017001-) 20m to SW.
