Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Scregg (athlone North By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the crest of a north-west to south-east ridge overlooking a valley to the south-west. A circular grass-covered area measures thirty-four point two metres north-north-east to south-south-west and thirty-one point seven metres west-north-west to east-south-east. An earth and stone bank defines the perimeter, reaching four point seven metres wide and zero point four5 metres high internally at the north-north-east, while a two-metre scarp marks the south-south-west section.
On the crest of a NW-SE ridge overlooking a NW-SE valley to the SW. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 34.2m NNE-SSW; 31.7m WNW-ESE) defined by an earth and stone bank (at NNE: Wth 4.7m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.8m) which is largely reduced to a scarp (at SSW: H 2m). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance, but this monument it is overlain by a NW-SE field wall towards the perimeter at NE and the monument itself overlies the S portion of cashel (RO042-094002-). Rath (RO042-095----) is c. 155m to the E.
