What is recorded here

Archaeological monitoring of foundations for a housing development revealed five shallow pits (see KE066-116----; KE066-209----; KE066-210----; KE066-211----) containing burnt earth and charcoal in an area immediately to the SE of the enclosure (KE066-075----) (Breen 1998, 87). This pit (Wth 1m; D 0.4m) narrowed sharply towards its base and contained dark red-brown clay mixed with charcoal (Breen 1997, feature 6). A possible post hole (Wth 0.08m) was found c. 15m to the SE.
