What is recorded here

Monument is a vanished wayside cairn on the north side of the Tully to Salrock road in County Galway. It joined at least five other possible cairns along that route, forming a line of small stone marks across the landscape. The road has taken them back, erasing the stones and leaving only memory behind a familiar journey.

On N side of road from Tully to Salrock. Indicated on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a small open circle. No visible surface trace survives. Five other possible wayside cairns (GA010-074----; GA010-042----; GA010-043----; GA010-044----) are known along this road.
