Earthwork in Ryves Castle: Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs from 03/11/1984 still show a shape that ordinary satellite pictures no longer distinguish. It lies among the demesne lands beside Ryves Castle, with Castle Jane and the Ballyscaddan burial ground close enough to belong in the same breath. The ground may have kept a boundary, a track, a mound or a forgotten arrangement of stones; grass and time have done the rest.

Situated on the demesne lands of Ryves Castle which is built on the site of Castle Jane (LI041-047-----) located 130m to E. Ballyscaddan burial ground (LI041-019002-), known locally as Castle Jane graveyard, lies 130m to N. Identified as a potential site on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1:10,000 No. 76) taken 03/11/1984.
