Ecclesiastical enclosure in Rostellan, County Cork, Ireland, may have been a monastery in the time of St Carthage, but no visible trace remains to mark the claim. The absence is not empty; it is a shape held in memory, waiting for someone to walk the land and remember what the body forgot.

According to Power (1940, 105) a 'monastery here in the time of St. Carthage'. Exact location not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
