Estate entrance gates and boundary wall built c.1800, comprising two pairs of tooled and channelled limestone block piers with tooled limestone plinth, architrave, fluted frieze and fluted and moulded cornice with decorative wrought-iron gates. Piers flanked by single pier to south having tooled and channelled limestone blocks and roughcast rendered rubble-stone walls with tooled limestone coping and rendered tooled limestone coping.

This is an impressive entranceway to Ross Castle and has elaborate piers reminiscent of classical columns with fluted design. The piers are cleverly and simply constructed with carved channels to give the effect of stone block ashlar masonry.
