Gateway, extant 1903, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of cut-granite chamfered piers on chamfered plinths having "Cyma Recta"- or "Cyma Reversa"-detailed pyramidal capping supporting spear head-detailed wrought iron double gates with cut-granite chamfered outer piers on chamfered plinths having "Cyma Recta"- or "Cyma Reversa"-detailed pyramidal capping supporting spear head-detailed wrought iron railings. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Kerlogue House.
A gateway forming part of a neat self-contained group alongside an adjacent gate lodge (see 15704265) with the resulting ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene at the entrance on to the grounds of the Kerlogue House estate.
