Gateway, extant 1837, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of pointed-arch niche-detailed granite ashlar piers on cut-granite chamfered plinths having crocketed finial-topped "Cyma Recta"- or "Cyma Reversa"-detailed cornice capping supporting wrought iron double gates. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Rockfield House.
A gateway making a pleasing visual statement in Newtownpark Avenue at an entrance on to the grounds of the Rockfield House estate (cf. 60230088).
