Baile An Ghlaisín holds twenty-seven cupmarks cut into a smooth sandstone slab perched above ordinary field stones. The marker sits on a steep slope overlooking Dingle Bay, exposing whoever tended that boundary to wide sky and sudden weather. People may have placed the decorated stone where the land turned, making the edge of a field into a visible address for memory.
