Pair of maypoles, erected c. 1880. Comprising square-profile limestone base, cast-iron square-profile plinth having diamond panels, floral motifs and beading surmounted by tapering poles with armatures, floral and geometric motifs.
Pair of ornate cast-iron maypoles, displaying high quality design and craftsmanship in their execution. The maypoles add artistic interest to the planned public park.
